Who it is for: Singapore restaurant, cafe and retail chains with several outlets, where outlet managers run the roster and one HR or finance team closes payroll for everyone.
At that size, payroll problems rarely come from the payroll formula. They come from hours that live in one place and pay that is worked out somewhere else.
What restaurant chains need from payroll software
A chain has the same payroll rules as a single restaurant, multiplied by every outlet, manager and roster. Check for these six things.
Hours from every outlet in one place
Clock-ins from each outlet should land in one set of timesheets, including staff who cover shifts at another outlet.Part-timers and full-timers in the same pay run
Hourly part-timers, monthly-rated full-timers and staff who move between the two should all be calculated in one pay run.Overtime, allowances and bonuses set up once
Overtime multipliers, meal allowances and attendance bonuses should be rules in the system, not formulas each outlet keeps in its own spreadsheet.Outlet managers approve before payroll closes
The manager who saw the shift should fix missed clock-ins and approve hours before central payroll starts.Singapore outputs built in
CPF calculations and the CPF file, IR8A for IRAS AIS, and itemised payslips that meet MOM requirements. One pay run finance can reconcile
Payslips, the CPF file and the bank payment file should all come from the same finalised pay run, so totals match. Why lists built for US restaurants don’t fit Singapore chains
Many restaurant payroll lists are written for US tip credits, state taxes and W-2 forms. A Singapore chain needs CPF, IR8A through IRAS AIS and MOM itemised payslips.
When you read a “best restaurant payroll software” list, check which country it was written for before you shortlist anything from it.
How PayrollAny works across outlets: roster to payslip in 4 steps
PayrollAny is built on StaffAny scheduling and time attendance, so the hours payroll uses are the hours your outlets recorded.
1. Schedule
Outlet managers build and publish rosters in StaffAny. Staff see their shifts in the StaffAny app on web, iOS and Android.2. Clock in at the outlet
Staff clock in and out at the outlet, and their actual hours are recorded against the roster.3. Manager approves the timesheet
Managers fix missed clock-ins and approve timesheets for their outlet before the payroll cut-off.4. PayrollAny runs payroll
PayrollAny builds the pay run from approved hours and produces payslips, the CPF file and bank payment files.PayrollAny facts

Kiosks Collective, a Singapore F&B kiosk operator that uses StaffAny, in its own words.

“Imagine how painful it was for us before StaffAny – I had to check and total up each person’s hours, then verify every single record before uploading it onto Excel. Now everything is digital and live-sync so I can do amendments any time I want, unlike before”EDGE Grant support

Questions to test in a demo
Run one real pay period from two or three outlets and check each of these:
- Can each outlet manager fix missed clock-ins and approve their own timesheets?
- Are overtime, allowances and attendance bonuses calculated from the rules, without manual top-ups?
- Are hours a staff member worked at two outlets calculated correctly in one payslip?
- Does the CPF file match the CPF amounts in the pay run?
- Can staff open their itemised payslip in the app?
- Does the bank payment file total match the net pay in the pay run?
Use your own staff mix and pay rules. A demo with sample data will not show where your current process breaks.
Next step
If your outlets already roster and clock in on StaffAny, PayrollAny uses those approved hours directly. If they don’t yet, we can show you the full roster-to-payslip flow with one of your real pay periods.
